Clarence L. Van Waardhuizen, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 28, 2026.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Moose Lodge 874 - Golden Triangle, 1901 Titcomb St., Eustis, Florida with lunch provided following the service.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Arthur Van Waardhuizen; his beloved wife, Janetta; his sister, Dolores; and his brother, Jerry; stepchildren Terri and Don Bishop from a previous marriage to Merna Bishop.
Clarence is survived by his son, Jim Van Waardhuizen and his loving fiancée, Jodi Reinhart; his dear friend & companion, Barb Harrington; stepdaughter Teri Wegner and her husband, Rick; stepson Bill Smith and his girlfriend Debbie Fowler; and stepdaughter Angie Smith Devlin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, including Brady, Rochelle, Carly, Tyler, Lauren, Matthew, Jessica, Katie, Angela, and Stacy. He also has many great grandchildren.
Clarence is also survived by his brother, Arvin Van Waardhuizen, and his wife, Jennie, of Knoxville, Iowa.
Throughout the years, Clarence held positions at Maytag, was a dedicated and successful Farmer for many years, managed the Co-op and eventually landed in Florida, as a sales territory leader for Vermeer Southeast Sales Corporation. He and Janetta also purchased and managed The Sunny Pines Mobile Home/RV Park and The Haven for many years, near Mt. Dora & Leesburg. He retired in 2013.
His interests varied from tractor pulling, owning and flying airplanes, boating and camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Clarence was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and the life he built for his family. Clarence will be remembered by his family and friends for being hard-working, generous, very social, and always willing to help. He did not know a stranger.
